Premium Standard Farms Texas operations are located in the Texas panhandle
near Dalhart.
The Perico farm is a farrow-to-finish farm using solids separators with the solids used for fertilizer and
the effluent pumped into one of three temporary holding tanks. The effluent is then irrigated onto crop ground.
The High Plains farm consists of a Multiplier Finish farm and a Multiplier Sow farm, using a flush system
with a covered lagoon digester and recycle system.
The S-5 Sow farm and W-F1 Wean-to-Finish farm were
completed in 2002 using digester technology.
The land at the Texas operations provides excellent wildlife habitat. In-season, the property
is a popular destination for employees who enjoy pheasant hunting.
