April 21, 2008 Princeton, Mo., - Five outstanding area students have received scholarships through the Premium Standard Farms Scholarship Program for the coming academic year.
The following students will
receive a $2,500 scholarship through the Premium Standard Farms Family Scholarship program for children of PSF employees.
Heather Tucker of Newtown is the daughter of Tom and Lori Tucker. Tom is the
Repair and Maintenance Superintendent for the grow/finish operations. Heather will graduate from Newtown-HarrisR-IIIHigh School and plans to attend NorthCentralMissouriCollege pursuing a degree in Elementary
Education and Early Childhood Development.
Julie Wilkinson of Unionville is the daughter of Dawn and Rick Wilkinson. Dawn is currently an employee of the Milan PSF truck wash facility. Julie graduated from Putnam County R-1 High School in 2007 and
currently attends the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas. She is double majoring in Mathematics and Biology/Pre-Med.
Premium Standard Farms also awarded $500 scholarships through
its Community Scholarship program. These scholarships are open to all students in counties of Premium Standard Farms' operations in Missouri and Texas. In Missouri, three students were awarded.
Katy
Black of Gallatin will graduate from GallatinHigh School and plans to attend ParkUniversity in Parkville, Mo., to study graphic design and advertising.
Brady Fleshman of Unionville will graduate from PutnamCountyHigh School and plans to attend NorthwestMissouriStateUniversity or the University of Missouri – Columbia pursuing a degree in education.
Kate
Hangley of Pattonsburg will graduate from PattonsburgHigh School and plans to attend the University of Missouri – Columbia majoring in agriculture business.
